Congratulations, due to your extraordinary achievements, you have been recognized and selected by the Native American Heritage Committee as an Honoree for the "Native American Heritage Celebration Day" which will take place between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on November 17, 2003, on the Second floor Rotunda of the Oklahoma State Capitol. All Honorees will be acknowledged with a citation from the Committee. This year's theme is "Breaking Barriers: Past and Present" with the focus on Oklahoma Indians who have set themselves apart through their actions and accomplishments by being the first in their particular fields.
The Native American Heritage Committee is a non profit group composed of state service professionals and private citizens committed to the advocacy and promotion of knowledge and appreciation of the Native American heritage in the State of Oklahoma. The Celebration is sponsored by the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, Oklahoma Indian Affairs Commission, Oklahoma Department of Health, Corporation Commission, Oklahoma Arts Council, Oklahoma Department of Tourism and Recreation, and the Oklahoma Department of Education.
